Trading holidays for the remainder of 2010

The year of 2010 had three trading holidays for Euronext’s derivative markets. A long Easter weekend last week and a long forgotten and cold New Years Day. All traders and brokers can keep in mind there will be no public holidays for the remainder of 2010. All those comfortable days like Labour day and Christmas will occur in the weekend, and all other public holidays like Queensday and Pentecost monday are holiday for all but the financial markets.There is some little good news. Next year will be better, and in the end of 2010 you will be given two free afternoons:
24 december 2010 – markets closed at 13:00
31 december 2010 – markets closed at 13:00
next year means 2011
This assumes you still have your job.

why do we still have a lot of christian holidays, but is the 5th of may only once in the 5 year, and on euronext never, a national holiday
wow really stuck for news if holidays are getting their own story! Having said that there isnt much to talk about, dont think I've ever seen such little volume/interest in the mkt

Een heerlijk idee: al die reaguurpootjes op straat gezet met hun grote egootjes. Gewoon weer bij een ander bedrijf solliciteren om de volaatjes in te typen. En Allard start lekker door zonder al z'n pootjes.
Come on Euronext, close the market on queensday. Or do the French have to work on July 14?
