New charm at FIA EPTA
The lobby group for proprietary traders in Europe, the European Principal Traders Association, has announced some changes in their staff today.
Mark Spanbroek, ex Getco and Van der Moolen, decided to step down as Secretary General. He will stay vice chairman, but the new full time Secretary General will be Johannah Ladd. She is American, and has been the General Counsel at Flow Traders for six years.
Harvard
Educated at Harvard and Erasmus University in Rotterdam, where she specialized in the Dutch employment law ; she has got an impressive resume. Studied Northern Irish poetry, nice, but even better she’s fluent in Dutch. Uncommon for foreigners in Amsterdam to learn Dutch, especially on the trading floor.
Great communicator
Most of all, she seems to be the great communicator the EPTA has been looking for. Chairman @Remco Lenterman with all his Goldman, Kempen and IMC experience isn’t the most charming character one can think of.
The lobby group is doing well, representing over twenty different trading firms. Recently joined the European divisions of Jump, Virtu and Tower.

it’s nothing to do with being american, it’s a job, if she has been working for euro firms all her life, this is a no change in her loyalties all of a sudden
why did the change the charm in the organization?
